So much for a normal life...

Well, Its been a few months since I last wrote anything here. Probably cause: 1. Spent the first month getting the house situated, 2. Been working my ass off, 3. Paul has been working his ass off and the 4th reason: Just plain lazy! Well, I guess I am back! Whatever that means. I am unmotivated lately for anything. Still got things to do at the house. Still have lots of work and again, I've just been really lazy. Have I said that I've been lazy? Yeah well.. I'm honest. Can't say that I don't wanna do anything, I have been trying to motivate myself. No success. Tomorrow I fly to Canton, Ohio... Oh Joy! But, at least it's something different. When we moved here, and we thought we'd be together more often, little did we know that Paul's job would have hime on the opposite schedule as me. When I'm off, he's working. I'm on days, he's been on mostly nights. Life sucks. Of, did I tell you that I've been lazy? Well, I am going to Ohioooooo. Maybe that will give me some excitment. Nah, just another business trip. Then I go back there next month, after Thanksgiving. I also get to go up to Orlando in early Novemebr for some more training. And, I get to do 1 3 day trip early next year. Chicago, Dallas or LA. Hummmm... where would you go? Well at least I can look forward to a lot of time off between terms. When I gotta work, I work hard. When there isn;t anything going on, (classes in session), I get to be a lazy bum! Well until next time. Later. HK

Back to a normal life...

The countdown is over.
It's been 10 days since Paul got to the new house.
It's been 9 days since the movers got here.
It's been 2 days since I unpacked the last of the boxes and boy, were there alot of boxes! 3/4 of a Tractor Trailer was our stuff and about 3/4 of that were boxes. I hate boxes!!!
In the last 3 weeks, since I arrived at the house I have been getting alot of shit done to make this our house. And, Paul has been doing his thing too!
Painted the Masterbedroom, the living room / dining room and the kitchen. Pulled all the fugly wallpaper stripping down in the master bathroom, guestbathroom, kitchen, office and guest bedroom.
Put up new light fixtures / ceiling fans in the master bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, office and on the porch. Dad did some minor work on the pool. A new heater is on the way. Even though the pool temperature is generally at 85 degrees, Paul wants it warmer. Wimp!
We just bought all new appliances for the kitchen (stove, microwave, dishwasher and one of the new refridgerators that is a side by side with a freezer drawer on the bottom. Really nice and a great deal thanks to Home Depots 10% off coupon, and over $900 in rebates and gift cards for buying a package.
There's still more to do, to give the house our touch. Paul is gonna paint the guest bathroom & office in some faux finish. Gotta get a ultra modern bathroom cabinet with a glass vessel sink and new toliet. We still gotta pick out new curtains for the bedroom. Still gotta hang the drapes in the office and guestroom and get some window treatments for the kitchen. Roman shades would be nice.
Today we are having a garage sale to get rid of the shit that didn't sell in Daphne and he other stuff we have discovered we don't want or need or have the room for. Hopefully we sell at least 3/4 of it. It's taking up a lot of space in what should be the dining room. Thats the next big purchase. Since we sold the dining room set to the buyers of the Daphne house, it still would be nice to have something. We do pan on entertaining, though poolside will be the main area, that just won't work for the holidays. I want something modern, something interesting. We'll see. We can take our time for that. Not really hige on the list right now. Gotta get a fence put up in the yard first. It's getting really old, walking Roxy twice a day. She wants here freedom to roam. As for the rest of the outside projects...
We'll do that in the fall & winter when the temperatures are more comfortable.

As far as my name goes, I still would be Lost without Paul, so no, that will remian the same.
Until next time...

The countdown is almost complete!!!

Yeah!!! It is 7:00 am on Wednesday, July 12, 2006. Paul will be here in 11 hours. We have both signed off on the contract for the Daphne house. The buyers close on Thursday. I have many of the projects completed in the WPB house that I wanted to get done, plus some, before Paul gets here and the movers on Thursday. Finally, after 13 months, our lives & hearts are getting back where they belong. Was it worth it? Hard to say. Harder to imagine that we have been away from each other for soooo long. It's nice we made money on the moves but we are both tired of it. I am just glad to be together again. Paul had a great idea. We should just buy homes and fix 'em up and resales them. If we can make $25 to $40 K per house per year, using ours talents, we would then be in control of our own lives! Time will tell. Just gotta see what the market does here in WPB. With interest rates on the rise, thank you, you damn republicans, then it may be more challenging, but then again foreclosures are expected to rise. Who knows we may finally become the real estate moguls I dreamed of at 18 (a.k.a.: Donald Trump)?

It was an Excederin Headache!!!

So I spent the weekend at my parents house. Robert, Krissy, Katie, My cousin from Italy, Andy, Rose, Eddie and his "trailer trash, redneck, white trash" girlfirend & a girl from a previous boyfriend and Eddies new daughter were all there. My Mom's friend Tina stopped by as well.

All and All, dealing with my family in small amounts isn't bad. One on One, isn't bad, but... everyone together? I maxed out on the daily dose of Excederin, hoping to make the pain more tolerable.

It wasn't just me either. Andy was the same. My mom is easy to deal with and my Dad is high maintenance. My brother is tolerable, he is a typical Dad, he has been numbed by years of dealing with his kids and his wife's previous three kids. My sister, well, for a lesbian, I can deal with her. My nieces are fantastic! I enjoyed their company, a 13 & 11 year old.
As for my nephew, his girlfriend and the baby out of wedlock (times two), god help me.
Oh, I forgot, Krissy's frined from my folks' neighborhood spent alot of time their too.

Guess who cooked? Very good. I think I lost my touch. I didn'y enjoy anything I prepared. Must have been the company.

As for Excederin; now that Paul and I live only 3 hours from my folks, I highly recommend everyone to purchase stocks in the company.

Oh, what I did last night....

Last night at the dogpark, it was pretty quite. I was talking with one of the guys, Andrew, he's been there about as often as me.

He said he was stoned and that he had some really good stuff and offered me a couple of "hits".

Well, I did it. I can't remember the last time I got stoned, but holy shit, that was excellent. I think its been at least 5 years if not more since I last smoked pot, but I can't remember ever being that stoned.

We hung out at my apartment for a couple of hours. Time just stood still for me. I usually get very quite, and just stay in a vegatative state. And, thats just what happened. Andrew is a talker. He rambled on for hours, and I just listened, and stared at him. He's cute.

After Andrew left, I called Paul. Wrong. He talked, I just listened. And boy did I have the munchies. I ate a 3/4 a box of JuicyFruits and 1/3 a box of Nerds. That's "Paul Food."

I slept like a baby last night and when my alarm went off at 5:30am, I really didn't want to get up. Yes, I did, but I think I may have still been stoned. I'll probably just stick with smokin' my cigs and drinking an occasional cocktail in the future. Or, maybe not.
